Sectors that contribute and use Multimedia (Medical, Academic, Commercial)
Academic: Multimedia elements are being
used in education. One of that is multimedia enables students to represent
information using several different media. By using multimedia elements, they
are now able to present their project in a much more creative way. This is
because by using multimedia approach such as audio and video, students can
record or make connection with one another for discussion or listening to the
previous topic that they have recorded. With multimedia, interactive learning
being done with live-action video, feedback, questions and answers to keep the
students interested and help enhancing their skills. Next, by using simulation,
students are grasping a better understanding about the step and producer to
make or do a certain project. Using multimedia also saves time in class as
teachers are using projector slides nowadays. By using multimedia, they are
making the education more interesting and perceptible.
Commercial: In commercial, promoting products require an effective medium able to catch the interest of the targeted market. Multimedia plays a vital role in commercial. The more forms of multimedia used, the higher the exposure of the product to the market thereby increasing sales, creating a huge influence in the market and gaining popularity. Television, radio and print ads are the most common medium used, with one supporting the other. The advancement in the field of technology has created a positive impact in multimedia, creating a more entertaining and advanced modes of advertising ranging from print ads to interactive programs wherein human participation is required. All these lead to popularity of products in the market creating either a positive or a negative reaction from the consumers.
